    Rings Of Power Season 2 Is Actually Good, But Why?
    I watched a few reviews from different people & I am starting to really believe there is a thing called Overly negative reviews. Rings Of Power Season 1 was not great at all. Watching a single episode was a drudge, like going in to work. I gave it a bad review. I was ready for the same experience with Rings Of Power Season 2…but that never happened in the 1st 2 episodes.
    This is all I watched so far & this is what the video is about. I strongly believe the reason why the 1st season failed was because each episode was written by a community of writers. Only 2 episodes of Rings Of Power Season 1 were written by 1 writer, the rest had 2 to even 4 writers working on it & as a result, we got a terrible show that was hard to point the finger at WHO caused it to be so bad.
    Now looking at Rings Of Power Season 2, all but 2 episodes were written by 1 person & the 2 that weren’t were by only 2 writers. I honestly don’t think a show needs more than 1 or 2 writers but whatever. So the episodes are less scatterbrained, which makes them easier to watch. The 2nd thing is that in at least the 1st 2 episodes of Rings Of Power Season 2, the arrogance is gone. Even Galadriel is tamed & can be easier to watch. She is not the Girl B*tch Boss she was in the 1st season of Rings Of Power. That goes a long way as well. Those 2 things combined in my opinion made the show miles better & easier to watch, so that is how I am reviewing this episode.

    Will Rings Of Power Season 2 betray that, maybe but until then, I will always be fair & praise/trash accordingly. 2 things of note, I do think the actor they chose for Sauron is an excellent fit, he has more range than I expected. Adar, the actor from Rings Of Power Season 1 has been replaced with a less imposing actor that I don’t think has the chops or presence of the original Adar. Lastly…should we expect an actual Lord Of The Rings show true to Tolkein? NO. I am Ok with adding their own spin to things, as long as it is in the spirit of the lore. But changing things that rework how some things were designed, not so much. I am referring to The Orcs. We’ll get there when we get to that episode.
    I wish people would be more honest in their reviews instead of trying to twist every scene to fit your negative narrative for the negative fanbase/following you amassed. There is good in everything, just like there is bad in everything we consume.
    Thank you for watching.

      If there was a brand of Jellybeans I decided to try and I hated it but I then bought it 2 more times to give it a chance (which already does not make sense) and I still did not like it.  Even if someone said, hey you should try these.  I would not.  If they sent me an email and said, NEW FORMULA!.  Still would not try it.

      Agree about the Sauron actor. The cast is alright. It has a look to it. I have not watched it yet, but they have good story to work with.

      It’s been so long since I’ve seen those movies. Eerie I came across this today, and it immediately hooked me and took me to Middle Earth.

      ROP actually has story to work with. The cast is adequate. Overall look is there. Hard to put it all together. Huge challenge, but come on, for the money. Just like Acolyte. So much money. It should be just a bit better.

      Sometimes, I wonder if these huge, massive budgets are just the storm before the calm. I see Ai taking over big time. Do agree with OP that the Sauron actor is good.

      Hate to even ask this, but does ROP even have the Dark Lord Morgoth in it? If not, isn’t that like a huge omission?

      It’s an interesting question to ponder. What if we’ve become the other side of the same coin. For so long the left has hated many things just because they had religious undertones (creed for example). It became cool to hate stuff in those circles, a part of their brain just went irate if watching works from other groups and they wouldn’t be able to see the good in it even if there was talent and hard work put into a production.

      It’s such a crazy divided world we live in now, with people hard wired to like things that cater to their ideology.

      Wish we could get back to just liking good stuff without any accusations of bigotry or communism.

      That said, I can’t bring myself to even give this show a chance. Season one was too egregious. That’s where I draw the line. You shit on Tolkien, you sacrifice all that was good and true leading up to now to impress your commie friends. I’m out. I don’t give a shit how good it might end up being we have a duty the future of humanity not to abide subversive trash.

      Good to see Tuna in here. The way you think, I’m surprised you haven’t rallied Nerdrotic, Drinker and Gore and go pick out like 3 to 5 Ai animators on youtube like Warden Cinematics, AbandonedFilms, Coldstar Art, A.I. Film Forge, and maybe a few others and say, ok, we need rights to some IP like Eldric or something, we are gonna do a show or feature, and hope Gore can get it some kind of limited distribution, come up with a Suno movie soundrtack to it and crowdfund the sucker. NOYFB how much we spent, but here is our fantasy movie. Imagine getting Karpyshyn or Correia or some other beast of a writer and saying this is what we wanted, so this is what we did. You could name the movie Flip The Bird. OMFG, you know what, they could do it with Throne of Bones or Sea of Skulls as well.

        This is what normally happens and why society usually functions as a slow moving pendulum.   Once a “movement” starts and gains traction there is normally some reaction to it that begins to build.  And what was once fringe is now mainstream. And what was mainstream is now fringe.  I think the social engineering and non-organic way the lefty stuff happened has very much exacerbated that process.  At this point, if the left/establishment does not institute tyranny the pendulum swing back will be harsh.  Look at the UK for example.

        The thing to watch for are the chameleons. Most of the politicians now (not all) will jump to whatever agenda keeps them in power.  People like Pelosi and Biden (it’s not just the Democrats) were all about Christian values back in the day because that’s what gained them influence.  Now they are super progressive. What they believe and what they say are 2 different things.  “You have a private position and a public one” – Hillary Clinton

        Ha, I appreciate the shoutout, Comicsgate, but I think most these guys around here prefer to just the youtube game, and I don’t blame them. I like posting here cuz everyone’s real and there isn’t any of the bullshit you get elsewhere, but the servers or webhosting or whatever is terrible and half my posts get eaten :P

        I work in the other side of things, the production side of things and it’s two different worlds. Youtube is about making everyone happy, your viewers, your guests, your show hosts. It’s a cult of personality, not unlike politics, ironically.

        Making games, movies, animations, music. That is usually about cracking eggs and having to be real about people’s talents and weaknesses, especially your own. That’s not really what these guys are built for. And this is why it’s so important to have different individuals know their role. Patrick Steward should have NEVER had creative input on Star Trek, but here we are. You don’t want people to have influence JUST because they’re charming, and JUST because they’re good at convincing others they are smart and talented. The proof is in the pudding.

        @Vknid
        most everyone are chameleons these days. We’ve gotten so damned pampered and coddled no one has to stand for anything or see truth any more. That’s why the world has gone so fucking crazy. 50 years ago if the person in charge didn’t have their shit together it meant you weren’t going to survive the winter. Now if you vote for the batshit crazy person and do all the stupid shit your boss tells you to punch into your excel spreadsheet you’re given a raise and you can afford to  go to Disneyland.

          @IllTemperedTuna

          That’s a bit too broad in my opinion.  Everyone is not a chameleon in the sense that, like a politician, you intentionally route to the “team” that gathers you the most influence and money.  Human nature will cause people to gravitate to what is safe and comfortable, but that’s always been the case.  Even the American Revolution was fought by a small minority.  That’s what make people like the founding fathers so special, because they are rare.  Most people have always gone with the flow because it’s easy. It is rare to find people who will make it hard on themselves to help others. This was always the case.

          But to your point, that’s gotten far far worse because no one in the west knows anything but comfort to the point they no longer realize nothing is gained without pain and effort.  And the politicians have taken advantage of that and now consistently trade freedom for a safety they never deliver.

          I now know this was about money/defense but Franklin’s quote is correct as it seems without the defense money context.

          ‘They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.’

          At the point we expect the government to save us or take care of us, you have abdicated your freedom to them.  No one entity outside of God can guarantee safety and freedom.  Even when not disingenuous, it’s an exchange.  And today it’s all a lie.

          So people today are abused in a way.  Constantly kept in a state of fear so ,like farm animals, they are herded in one direction or another.  But this does not remove the responsibility we each have to work and see beyond that.

          Damn it I posted a long reply and this website ate it.

          Agree 100%. It’s a damned shame what happened to this country. Too much weakness and shame. Even on a website like this i feel like you gotta walk on eggshells talking about this stuff. Feel like i’m taking crazy pills sometimes, everything has become so weak and petty. This isn’t the America some of us were lucky enough to grow up in, but trying to hold onto that America is now a capital offense. Feels like every day is a twilight zone episode.

          It’s a tale — not so much about Tolkien’s world but of what has happened to “entertainment”.
