So apparently there’s a “yearly refund limit” on digital games and I reached it, but was never notifed either before my recent purchase or via email. Mom bought me a game as a gift, I tried it and didn’t care for it so I made a refund request, and that’s when they told me about the limit. Some sort of prompt pre purchase would’ve been courteous, as I may have considered posponing it til next year or a sale. Not that I expect courtesy from Microsoft, but a basic heads up would be welcome, even on a policy I don’t agree with. My mother is retired, fixed income, for them to take advandtage of that is slimey. I’m sure it’s in ToS, but we all know no reads those as they’re ten mile long novels that ain’t nobody got time for. There needs to be a prompt before buying that tells the customer their limit is reached or an automatic email sent when it is. Boguht the Series S because it was the more econiomic choice and I live in an appartment and don’t have room for 100+ stacks of games. Shameful that they take advantage of that with vampiric greed.

What do you think the limit was?

I think Amazon does something similar to this but it’s based on an algorithm not a hard limit.  That’s my understanding of it anyway.

That’s the thing though, they don’t tell you. I might be able to find out on youtube or something, but that really is information they need to have front and center.

I think we all got screwed over by MS once they got rid of ‘Space Cadet Pinball’, ‘Word Art’ and the ‘Office Assistants’. BRING BACK MR CLIPPY MICROSOFT!

Indeed, the lack of notifications about the “annual return limit” can lead to disappointment. In such situations, it is important to look for alternative solutions that will help avoid similar problems in the future. One option is to purchase licenses and keys for software and games on trusted platforms that offer transparent conditions and reliable customer support. For example, pexlkeys provides licenses for various programs and games at affordable prices, guaranteeing the authenticity and quality of the products. This can be a great way to avoid restrictions like the ones you encountered and provide yourself and your loved ones with more flexible shopping conditions. In addition, I recommend that you always carefully read the terms of use and return policy before making a purchase. This will help you learn about possible restrictions in advance and avoid unpleasant surprises. If you have any doubts or questions, do not hesitate to contact the seller’s support service – a good company is always ready to help and clarify all the details.
