It looks like a boring cookie cutter Kung-fu movie with no real passion behind it.
This does not look like a super hero movie.
My disinterest in Phase 4 continues.
I think it looks like it could be one of the best MCU solo movies, really excited about this. Also, Jackson Wang is making the OST which makes me even more hyped
One person said that they thought the ten rings would go on a person’s fingers like with The Mandarin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandarin_(character)
it would be cool if this movie doesn’t suck. the director seems decent. the trailers show some quality, the total opposite of the eternals.
But then… why Awkwafina needs to be on it, it’s like they don’t know anyone else? lol she’s on every movie with asians recently lol
Anyway, not hating, she’s my “classmate”, we studied in the same university in the same year (2008). ;D

Maybe ’cause you’re classmate’s a good actress
Every movie i’ve seen Awkwafina in i’ve liked her performance, so i’m happy to see her in Shang-Chi :)
So is the Mandarin gonna be Shang Chi’s bad guy? That dude was supposed to be Ironman’s villian
@Megazord_Jeremy yeah in the comics, but in the MCU they did a fakeout and had an impostor Mandarin in IM 3. This Mandarin (Shang Chi’s dad) is apparently the real one.
Shabg-Chi’s dad is probably who hired fake Mandarin in Iron Man 3
@Digicat No that that Guy Pearce’s character in Ironman 3 who hired the fake Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) because he wanted to mess with Ironman for not being nice to him years ago. In a Marvel one shot tie called All Hail the King, which takes place after Ironman 3 Ben Kingsley’s character gets interviewed by this reporter while in prison for his role as playing the fake Mandarian during the events of Ironman 3 then at the end *****SPOILERS!!!!!!****** the reporter interviewing Ben Kingsley was really an agent working for the real Manadarian…..as in Shang Chi’s dad who didn’t like Ben Kingsley pretending to be him and the agent kidnaps Ben Kingsley’s character to take him to the real Manadarian to face judgememt.
I am about 45.5% excited about this movie.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings Poised for Disaster
Early box office tracking shows the upcoming MCU film Shang-Chi (2021) being likely yet another massive box office flop for the Disney brand…with no official release date in China, the films seems DOA
It’s too bad because I know some Asians and I like their minds and personalities and I think that is missing from cinema. Is very interesting the sheer desperation by all of corporate America to pander to China and China seems to taunt them almost with market access. Wish there were more Chicom twitter accounts to follow. I want to follow Chinese twitter and youtube because I heard they are GREAT trash-talkers against India and the USA. Disney throwing in 200 mill a film, so question for Odien, who is an incredible researcher, is what films with that budget made the most and were the most successful and why? Another question I would have is, are there many Chinese novelists? Which are the most popular and why?
