Still trying to get better at the craft of writing, I am enjoying writing shorts in-between longer novels. Plus, it gives me time to get away so I can look back with fresh eyes weeks later. With that said, below is a short story I added to my substack. Feel free to post links to your short stories as well!
Who cleans up after villains?
I answer this question with my short story, Carrion the Cleaner. Follow Carrion to see how violent Mal’s in the Megacosm universe are able to get away with their crimes.

I answer this question with my short story, Carrion the Cleaner. Carrion has just arrived at the safehouse massacre, and performs his walk-through, discovering this is not the typical cleaning.

Takes a steel set to create something and put it out there for all to see. Might I suggest a brief rundown of the story in a post so others can know what it is about? Maybe even an official prologue? Just a thought. I love to see folks creating stuff and putting it out there. Such is the spice of life.

@Vknid Hi, my bad for the long delay. Was gone for the 4th, and now working on getting my first novel published!
To answer your question, Carrion the Cleaner is a short story set in my fictional Megacosm storyline about Carrion who uses his blood powers to clean up after vicious Malevolents, or Mal’s, who use their power for evil. Carrion’s job is to ensure their crimes go off without a trace, yet he keeps being distracted on the job by his girlfriend Vicki, who is in that same life, and has dark issues of her own.
The last chapter should be out this week, Lord willing!

Carrion has begun the cleaning at the safehouse massacre, trying to concentrate on the meticulous details while being distracted by his masochist girlfriend Vicki. With lives in the balance, including his own, can Carrion complete the job?
