Neither console has a hard release date yet, and it’s almost September. I’m beginning to suspect one or both of the next gen consoles are getting pushed to 2021. It really feels like Xbox is more likely to move thanks to the delay of Halo Infinite, but Sony has been very quiet as well.
I can only speak for myself, but I’m personally fine with the next gen consoles getting pushed back to next year. My backlog is so damn huge that I wouldn’t mind the time to catch up haha.
What are your thoughts?
And miss the holiday season? Nah. They won’t do it. They are quiet because both are afraid to reveal pricing. So both are waiting for the other to show their cards.
I think the Xbox Series X needs to be delayed to meet the Halo Infinite release. Having no huge first party exclusive at launch is nuts to me. I think The Medium is the only other console exclusive left for launch day. I think Sonys launch line up is much stronger, though I’m still not interested in either console.
It is nuts that we’re nearly into September with no release date or official price for either console. That tells me the consoles are getting delayed, though I could always be wrong. We would have known the price and date by now.
I hope they get released sooner rather than later because that way the prices are going to drop sooner. Anyway I’m buying a high end PC by the end of this year and I won’t need to buy any new consoles for the foreseeable future. I hate both companies now (I hate Sony to a lesser extent than Microsoft though because Sony Japan is based).
Sony hasnt been Japan based for over a year now. They relocated all of their main offices to California a while back.
Why do you think weird censorship and SJW messaging is standard practice for the company now?
