Sonic Freedom Netflix series pitch

I originally wrote this as a writing exercise but the more I wrote it the more I decided to create this forum the reason I decided to create this show is to bring Sonic back to his roots and i’m not talking about another Mania style 2D side-scroller not that there’s anything wrong about that but this might be a little bit of my own personal biasness talking but I low key miss Princess Sally and the Knothole Freedom Fighters but anyways here’s a basic pitch I’ve written a pilot episode but I don’t have an agent but if I did have an agent you bet your ass i’d pitchin’ this show to Netflix, SEGA, and Takashi Lizuka

The show takes place on Planet Mobius, a dystopian fantasy world. Prior to the events of the series, a warlord and former scientist named Doctor Eggman conquered the planet. Eggman was once head of the Mobotropolis War Ministry. During a previous conflict, his creation of robotic soldiers called Badniks led to the country’s victory. In the war’s aftermath, Eggman was to be appointed Minister of Science. However, he seized power and exiled the king. Eggman captures most of the citizens, including Sonic’s Cousin Percy. Using Sonic’s Uncle Chuck’s Roboticizer invention, Eggman transforms the population into his robot slaves. A handful of citizens escape to Knothole Village, and form the Freedom Fighters. Led by Sonic and Princess Sally, they battle to liberate Mobius.

Sonic the Hedgehog-Sonic the Hedgehog is Mobius’ champion of justice. He’s not only the world’s hope for survival, he’s also the star of the show. Sonic was born with the power of supersonic speed, hence the name. He can run faster than the speed of sound. He has a heart of gold with an attitude to back it up. Sonic is usually the only one who stands between Dr. Robotnik and world domination. Sonic knows that a friend in need is a friend in deed, not that Antoine counts as a friend. The sneakers Sonic wears are designed to be durable, complete with anti-gravity soles, and were created by his uncle, Sir Charles Hedgehog, who also created the machine that generates power rings that temporarily boost his speed. Sonic’s favorite food are chili-dogs. As mentioned earlier, Sonic never gets along with Antoine, but he is best friends with Miles “Tails” Prower. His love interest (later girlfriend) is Princess Sally Acorn. Ten years ago, Sonic witnessed the horror that changed his life forever when Robotnik attacked Mobotropolis. He even lost his uncle Chuck, his parents and even his dog Muttski to the Roboticizer. To this day, Sonic vows to rid Mobius of the overweight dictator in question once and for all.

Miles “Tails” Prower-Tails is a mobian fox with the unique mutation giving him two tails instead of one. He has mostly yellow fur with white fur around his muzzle, front torso, and the tip of his tails, and has blue eyes (sometimes depicted as dark brown in his younger years). Typically his attire consists simply of white gloves and red shoes with white toes. As early as he could remember, Miles Prower was an inhabitant of the city of Mobotropolis under the care of Rosie Woodchuck. After Dr. Eggman had taken over the Kingdom of Acorn, Miles was forced to become a refugee in Knothole Village, later developing the nickname “Tails” due to other kids making fun of his twin tails. A hedgehog by the name of Sonic the Hedgehog came by the village and cheered Tails up, giving him the strength he needed to overcome the bullying. Sonic later stated that he would end Eggman’s reign and though others had their doubts, Tails believed in Sonic and became inspired to be as cool as the blue blur. Tails soon made a friend in Ben Muttski and Bunnie Rabbot, cheering the latter up as she was getting mocked for her cybernetics.

Knuckles the Echidna-A loner by nature, Knuckles is independent, headstrong and serious, yet gullible and short-tempered to a fault. He is entirely devoted to his duty, spending most of his time on Angel Island protecting the Master Emerald, and rarely cares for anything that is of no importance. When his friends and others are in need of his help, however, Knuckles can always be relied on being willing to leave his post and prove himself a faithful and good-hearted hero. He is also one of Sonic’s oldest friends and rivals.

Sally Acorn-She is a mobian chipmunk, the daughter of King Nigel Acorn and leader of the Freedom Fighters. Born as the heir to her father’s throne, she was taken, as a child, to the sanctuary of Knothole Village in the Wood Zone by Rosie Woodchuck when her father was betrayed by his royal adviser, Dr. Eggman and led the Freedom Fighters on many field missions against the scientist when he took power after banishing the King to the Special Zone. After Nigel Acorn was rescued and resumed his role as king, Sally continued to lead the Freedom Fighters in the ongoing battle against the Eggman Empire.

Bunnie Rabbot-Originally she was a normal Mobian rabbit, but when the evil Dr. Eggman made his first attack against Mobotropolis, Bunnie suffered severe injuries and the only way to save her life was by having parts of her body replaced with cybernetics by Professor Charles the Hedgehog. Since then, she has used her cybernetic enhancements to better serve her friends the Freedom Fighters and together they have been fighting the evil forces of the Eggman Empire to ensure the world is free from Eggman’s tyranny. Only her arm is robotic, I decided to keep her legs normal and gave her Flight Sneakers to flight at high speed.

Rotor Walrus-He is a Mobian walrus and a key member of the Freedom Fighters, serving as one of their main inventors, usually working alongside fellow brilliant inventors Tails and Professor Charles the Hedgehog to create the best tech they can for their friends and allies. Using his skills and knowledge of technology and mechanics he is able to provide the Freedom Fighters with an edge against the mad genius Dr. Eggman and his Eggman Empire. He usually acts as an informant,providing data and technological assistance when his team needs it.

Antoine D’Coolette-He is an English/French-speaking Mobian coyote, and a faithful and longtime member of the Freedom Fighters, He is a skilled swordsman, as well as an active pilot.

Originally an apprentice sent to Mobotropolis, Antoine was among the few to escape to Knothole Village during Robotnik’s invasion. Antoine had attempted to be the brave soldier of the Freedom Fighters, but failed due to his skittish and cowardly nature. However, Bunnie Rabbot showed him to never give up, which allowed Antoine to discover a new source of bravery for himself, and the two, after seeing that they needed each other, got married. Since then, Antoine has been serving as one of the primary members of the Freedom Fighters.

Nicole-She is an artificial intelligence created by Dr. Ellidy which was entrusted to Sally Acorn as a portable hand-held computer, and has since become both Sally’s loyal friend and a trusted member of the Freedom Fighters. She is incredibly versatile and able to interact with and manipulate most machinery and computer systems due to her advanced technology and is capable of mental and emotional growth. Due to the latter, she has gradually become more and more lifelike in demeanor during her time interacting with the Freedom Fighters. With the help of a Power Ring, she is able to create a complex holographically simulated body-based on that of a Mobian lynx projected from her hand-held.

Amy Rose-She is a young, carefree Mobian hedgehog who has had a crush on Sonic the Hedgehog for years. Originally starting out as just one of Sonic’s most devoted young admirers, she would mature into one of his most trusted allies and after proving herself she became a member of the Freedom Fighters who have sworn to protect the world from the evil scientist, Dr. Eggman and his Egg Army. Her loyalty to her friends and team is without question and her improving skills have assured her importance to the Freedom Fighters’ cause.

Dr. Robotnik-Dr. Ivo Robotnik (Born day 253, 3189) formerly known as Julian Kintobor, and given the nickname “Dr. Eggman” by his life long arch nemesis Sonic the Hedgehog is the primary antagonist of Sonic Freedom He was a brilliant yet power-hungry mad scientist within the Overlander community until his twisted experiments landed him in prison. He managed to escape, forced to flee for his life and seek sanctuary among his people’s sworn enemies: the Mobians. In exchange for his safety, Robotnik offered his services to Mobian King Nigel Acorn, providing tactical information and decisive military leadership (with Robotnik being appointed the Royal Army’s Warlord upon gaining the King’s confidence) to bring an end to the Great War and drive the Overlanders off Mobius altogether, while also secretly planning his rise to power. Shortly afterward, Robotnik made his move and constructed mass robotic armies to lead a successful coup against the Kingdom, overthrowing the monarchy and becoming the tyrannical and despotic dictator of Mobius for the next ten years during a conflict known as the Robotnik War.

Eventually Robotnik’s efforts to pacify the Freedom Fighter groups on Mobius led him to become obsessed with defeating the greatest of their number: Sonic the Hedgehog. This obsession led to his death, as he was killed in combat by Sonic during the conclusion of his greatest and most terrible plan Operation: Death EggSnively Robotnik (born day 134, 3206), born Colin Kintobor Jr, was the Overlander nephew of the infamous world-despot Dr. Ivo Robotnik (formerly Julian Kintobor). Snively was both devious and treacherous although he secretly hated his uncle

Metal Sonic is an evil Badnik version of Sonic the Hedgehog and undoubtedly Dr. Eggman’s deadliest creation, built for the sole purpose of destroying Sonic.
While mostly serving as Eggman’s obedient and silent enforcer, Metal Sonic is an intelligent machine with a very dark side. A cold-hearted, aggressive and ruthless killer, he is obsessed with proving his superiority to Sonic and eliminating him for good to the point where he has rebelled against Eggman more than once to achieve his goal. However, he always fails in the end. To this day, Metal Sonic continues to be one of Sonic’s most formidable foes.
