That’s so cool, congrats @WitheyBD 🤩
I grew up playing Sonic Rush, so a character i’ve always wanted to see on screen is Blaze 😸 It would be cool, even if just for a small role 😊
Happy New Years everyone I have some concept art that Man of Action has given me I can’t show you guys everything but this is the stuff that they have allowed me to show
Sonic and Sally
Some very early concept art for Sally
Robotnik and Snively
Sally with pants…a good choice :)
I have a very big announcement Shadow the Hedgehog will be in season 2 of Sonic Freedom after some lengthy Zoom calls with SEGA execs I managed to work out a deal with them to bring him into season 2 of the show
Interesting.
I have zero experience with Shadow, since he was introduced long after I checked out of the game franchise, so any stories with him will be a pleasant new experience full of surprises.
I have some experience with Shadow 😸 watching Sonic X 🦔 and i’m very curious to see what he’ll be like in Sonic Freedom 🤩
Here is concept art for some of Robotnik’s robots or “Badniks”
Swatbots or “Egg Pawns” as Sonic has dubbed them are essentially Robotnik’s “Stormtroopers”
The Eyespy is a spying robot and as such has no weapons
E-15 Moto-Eggsterminator or the “Motobug” are high speed scouts equipped with gatling guns and until Metal Sonic came into the picture they were one of the few units capable of keeping up with Sonic
E-16 Hunter Drones or “Egg Drones” as Sonic has dubbed them are Robotnik’s main flying units equipped with a machine gun and cloaking device
Awww, the Motobugs look permanently pissed off 😂
Theses are all really cool and cute designs 👍
After many phone calls and Zoom calls I would like to present Sonic Freedom’s writers staff
Me-Head writer/creator
Shiro Maekawa-Wrote Sonic Adventure 1, 2, and Sonic and the Black Knight
Ian Flynn-Has written the Sonic comics for almost a decade and is basically a walking talking Sonic wiki
Drew Karpyshyn-This might a bit of an odd pick especially since he’s never worked on Sonic before but if your familiar with Mass Effect or KOTOR or the Darth Bane trilogy his name might sound familiar he was a bit of a pain to convince but after some negotiating we managed to convince him
@Roas, @Digicat i’ve got some good news and some bad news
the bad news is Tyson Hesse the man who redesigned Sonic for his movie and the man behind Sonic Mania Adventures will sadly NOT be apart of Sonic Freedom because he’s hard at work on the Sonic movie sequel
The good news is Classic Sonic will NOT be apart of this show Sonic’s design is a cross between his modern design (Green Eyes, Longer spines and quills) and his design from SATAM (Ring backpack)
After some more meetings with SEGA here are some more characters that could possibly be apart of Sonic Freedom
Chaos-is an immortal, god-like creature composed entirely of concentrated energy. It is the guardian god of the Chao and their friends, and it has the ability to change form for each Chaos Emerald it receives.
The original guardian of the Chaos Emeralds and the Master Emerald, Chaos watched over a Chao colony in ancient times until an attack from the Knuckles Clan led to it being consumed by a fury that threatened to destroy the world. However, it was sealed in the Master Emerald before it could succeed. After millennia of imprisonment, it was released by Dr. Eggman in a plot to conquer the world. Despite initial cooperation, however, Chaos turned on Eggman and tried to destroy the world, He attacks Station Square but was calmed by Super Sonic and departed for places with The Master Emerald. Since then, Chaos only appears in times of great crisis.
Silver- is a hedgehog hailing from two hundred years into the future where his role is to protect his time by changing the catastrophes of the past, thus preventing the ruining of his era. For his mission, Silver makes use of his psychokinesis, an ability from his time that is considered the norm, which allows him to move objects with the power of his mind.
Silver is a kindhearted and well-meaning individual, driven by a strong sense of justice to right the wrongs of the past to uphold peace, though he is somewhat naive and immature. Despite the monumental tasks he may have on hand, he is an optimist and will do whatever is required to protect the world.
Gamma-Gamma was an elite robot created by Robotnik but later gained his own sentience when he learned of friendship from Amy Rose and turned on his creator. He then assumed his own mission to ‘free’ his robot brethren from Robotnik, and succeeded, though at the cost of his own life.
I have some very big news Sonic Freedom is no more it has a new name “Sonic Prime” is now the new title for the show
do you like the new name or Sonic Freedom more?
I spotted this on my YouTube feed earlier today and thought, “Yeah. I know the guy doing this :) ”
Sounds fine. Production titles get changed all the time. Besides, being called Prime means you are the #1! I couldn’t think of a better way to look at the proper Sonic lore you are bringing back to the forefront.
I personally like both titles, but yeah, Sonic Prime does have a catchyer tone to it
Also, logo is super cool 👍
As many of you may know Roger Craig Smith has left the role of Sonic so we had to recast him and after some auditions Sonic’s new voice actor is…..
Yuri Lowenthal Sonic Prime will be his very first time voicing Sonic and he will be replacing Roger for future Sonic games
