Is this game any good? It’s on sale on PSN. Should I get it?

June 17, 2020 at 8:07 pm #165458Are you serious…?! I got this game when it first came out. It’s one of the last truly masterful Star Wars games, and the level design is brilliant (Ravensoft are known for their skill in that area).
If you’d like a proper FPS experience the version on GOG.com works perfectly even on the train wreck that is Windows 10, and has a brilliant usermade mod for it to enable full limb slicing and decapitation (with added blood). This was back when developers still bothered making a single player experience rather than these days where it’s a sub par, bolted on after thought knocked up on the last Tuesday before release date.

It is right up there with Jedi Fallen Order, Force Unleashed, Rouge Squadron 2, and the original Battlefront 2.

June 18, 2020 at 6:42 pm #166384What should be said is that this is a port of the PC version, not the 6th gen console version and you will probably have to get used to the controls, but I played through it on Switch (and am currently playing Jedi Academy on it) and it was mostly fine.
IIRC there is no auto save though, so you better safe a lot or you can lose a lot of progress.
