It really depends on the series. If it takes place in Japan, like My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, or One Punch Man, I’ll generally watch it subbed (although I watched MHA’s dub first, and it was pretty good). However, if the show has a European setting, like Fullmetal Alchemist, or a world/universe setting, like Cowboy Bebop, I’ll watch it dubbed.
The only exception to this rule is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, which MUST be watching in its original Japanese audio to preserve the meme material.
