Has anyone thought of doing a forum under gaming for tabletop games. It feels that tabletop games are underrepresented. Right now the SJWs are ruining tabletop games such as D&D and are attacking Ernie Gygax and TSR Games. TSR Games even replaced their PR manager already. The whole situation is getting worse and few are speaking about it. I’m not a ttrpg player yet, but as someone interested in game design in primarily video games the game design aspect of ttrpgs is getting my attention. As geeks and gamers we must speak out on such things and call out the SJWs. We need to show these people up and create our own games and such. Heck, if TSR Games does not bend the knee invite Ernie Gygax for an interview and support devs who aren’t woke. That’s why a Tabletop Game sub forum is important so we can speak out.
I have no experience, but a few months ago, one pundit said that he has at least 50 tabletop war games that he was familiar with. I know that set off a bit of an envious firestorm among his haters. It let them realize that they were far behind in strategy. It’s one thing I did not do that I regret. I played a little Battleship but never Risk. I took up checkers and chess, but you are talking a guy who has decades of strategy practice with those games. I think it’s really a great thing to get into if it teaches you something.
I figure that there are some people at Geeks + Gamers who might dabble into tabletop games. There’s a lot going on in ttrpgs, however I only know a fraction due to watching videos on YouTube. Tabletop games, especially TTRPGs, are an untapped audience that Geeks + Gamers might want to address. Creating a forum for it under gaming would be a good idea. As you and I can see the SJWs are destroying everything with their Marxist agenda. People need to start taking a stand.
GeeksandGamers is just a cool brand name that I like. I’m a fan of you guys. Agree about a tabletop game forum, even though I’m not into it, I admire and respect Gamers. They say Gamers become excellent decision makers. Gamers also get into cheat codes and patterns and problem solving. Gamers are great learners because they are in the flow state activity of play, but many times the games are teaching them. Another regret I have is not playing cards on a regular basis. They say Poker teaches good business because in Poker, you have to manage your money roll account and dole out risk based on hands and mathematical probabilities, so I wish I’d just simply been a habitual poker player. It depends on what clicks, but TTRPGs just seem like such a great way to pass the time. Another think I’ve barely noticed is that Gamers have changed a lot of literature. Some of my favorite authors incorporate Gamers into their characters and adventures. Just the focus on the Gamers part of GeeksandGamers and the TTRPG thing should of course be considered. In fact, you know how Jeremy is always telling people to start their own things? Well, I saw some black guy that had mastered Cash Flow by Robert Kiyosaki, so this guy made a living out of being, bascially, a tutor, guide, teacher and dungeon master of Cash Flow. I think that would actually be useful to people to have certain guys who have mastered a table top game and can kind of teach it. Teacher of table top. A career for a Gamer.
Not only that, but a tabletop forum could help people to create their own tabletop games. If one can design a tabletop game then they can easily learn how to design a video game. There are a ton of ideas that gamers would like to see if they could design games. Not to mention a tabletop forum would be a great way to find a group for a TTRPG. Also, it would be fitting for Geeks and Gamers to talk about TTRPGs. I’m hoping to get into TTRPGs after I’ve been working at my new job for a while. Tomorrow I have orientation for my work from home job. Not only that I need to study for IT certifications and also find time to beat some video games I play. But if I could find free time I would love play a TTRPG and actually stream the game sessions too.
I have a post here that isn’t showing why?
