Take a Moment, We’ve Living History.

We get so wrapped up in the intensity of the moment that we don’t take a moment to appreciate the once in a lifetime wonders unfolding around us.

These have been some dark times for us geeks and gamers. As fans, as workin’ folk, and as humans stuck on this chunk of dirt hurtling through space surrounded by all these petty fucks throwing temper tantrums and kicking us into dirt. But one dude in the right place at the wrong time, when the chips were down rose up as the people’s champion and had the nerve to say to the endless hordes, “No, fuck you. That’s not how we do shit in America.”

This isn’t just Trump’s weekend. This is America’s week. This one’s for all the hard working, salt of the earth people who wake up at the crack of down, roll out of bed without any fanfare, and get to work spilling elbow grease making sure what’s left of this once great nation spins up and fulfills its purpose.

While you watch these wins unfold (which will be tempered by their vitriol) take a moment to appreciate what we accomplished, silently in the outcast edges of society. Take a moment to appreciate that we’re still in this sumbitch.

We’re in this fight, and though the spoils of victory may never come and it’s wearing on the soul as day after day the spoiled rotten shit stains, the petulant fucks will kick, demean, and scream, they will bitch and they will moan as they use every single underhanded trick in the book to win their righteous crusade.

Through every trial these jackasses force on us, remember that it’s never been about the victory. There price of freedom is eternal vigilance. We will forever be in this battle against our greed, stupidity, and delusion.

But after endless doubts, you could not write a more perfect moment, and promises of release only stems from hardships endured.

Reflect on the turmoil, the cancelings, the gaslighting and the sensation at times that all felt lost. Reflect on Luke Skywalker drinking weird-ass-green-titty-milk, and Kathleen Kennedy inserting herself into the Skywalkers. Loss after loss against these crazed subversive institutions, a win felt niegh impossible, and the temptation to give up rose…

We didn’t.

When Trump is back in his home of New York, giving an impassioned speech, unifying this nation off the heels of knocking it out of the park on Joe Rogan. As the left are having an absolute SHITFIT about the iron claw grasp on power spilling from their grasp. As the haters catch glimpses of their pouty face in the mirror… take solace that Trump wasn’t alone in those trenches.

We were all part of this in our own way, we all stood up to that machine. Whether it was the fandom menace telling Hollywood to go fuck themselves, or us fans shitposting and engaging in meme warfair. Each of us fought our battles when the chips were down.

Truly take a moment.

Times like these are once in a lifetime. Years from now you will remember where you were at the turning of the tide. Nothing like this will ever happen again, we can’t let it.

All the slightings, the kicks to mud, the gaslighting, the subversions, and fake news. We lived some crazy shit. We were labeled racists, dumb, science deniers, white supremacists, evil, chuds, perverts, crabs in a basket of deplorables by the most numerous and powerful social apparatus in all of history.

And for a lifetime these smarm fucks jerked each so hard and fast the damn world caught fire.

Now that the walls burn in, Trump and this ragtag crew of MAGA, high enerjohn mother fuckers need to get to work cleaning up the disaster of these commie mother fuckers.

There is good worth fighting for, we can turn the beat around. We can counterpunch. We CAN fucking win.

Through all the putdowns, all long nights of worry, of thinking this battle impossible, here is the great vindication. Here is the grand prestige.
