I guess it’s not safe to trigger fans nowadays lol.

Now I’m nowhere a Star Wars lore expert but wow. I knew about the backlash from the Disney trilogy and had to see it for myself. I just finished watching Rise of the Skywalker. WTF did I just watch? That movie was a total mind fuck. There was no time to even process the unbelievable surprise twists coming one after the next. I actually had to pause the movie midway just to soak it all in. And then I unpaused it and finished the rest. Bad decision.

    The Force Awakens:

When I saw The Force Awakens, midway through the movie I thought to myself “this ain’t so bad…a remake of the original trilogy combined in one movie.” Then they killed off Han Solo. For a stupid reason. So his son could be the Darth Vader? Lol. Ok. On a good note I liked Finn’s story and thought he would’ve had a nice story ark if he turned out to be the force user. I didn’t really care for Ray’s character but she was tolerable. A few nonsense moments but overall not a bad movie. Definitely better than The Phantom Menace and Attack of the Clones.

    The Last Jedi:

Not to be on a political agenda tip but this movie screams “girl power!” It’s like they went out of their way to show you girls rule. This would be cool if they had more interesting characters than Rose and Haldo. Rose has got to be my least favorite character of this movie. She’s just annoying for no reason. Pairing her up with Finn for romance and totally pushing aside Finn’s story arch. Then there’s Leia’s Superman moment. When the hell did she become a force user? Rey -the walking cheat code. Outclasses Yoda, Obi-Wan, Luke, Wendu with literally no force training and lifts boulders with ease. Then there’s The Haldo Maneuver. Ramming her ship at light speed through enemy cruisers to by the resistance some time? Looked cool as hell but that makes everything Luke Skywalker did against the Death Star in the original trilogy obsolete. Might as well just pull a Haldo Maneuver on the Death Star lol.

Luke Skywalker a shadow of his former self. Stranded by choice on an island milking alien cow boobies? Wow. Admiral Ackbar’s off screen death? Cmon man. General All the lore and legacy the original trilogy and the prequels built up were destroyed and shitted on in this movie. Midichloran blood count. Yoda struggling to lift a pillar. All rendered meaningless. Well at least Luke dies on his own terms which is better than having a cheap death like other beloved characters I’ve seen. On a positive note, Snoke was my favorite thing about this movie. He honestly should have been the main villain of the entire trilogy. I like how he broke the 4th wall with the viewer by putting Kylo Ren in his place. They killed him off way too early.

    Rise of the Skywalker:

Again….WTF. The intro text alone makes the whole original trilogy pointless. Palpatine still alive? How? Why? What?! So Rey is Palpatine’s granddaughter? Lol. He begs her to kill him so she can become the new Sith emperor. She resists. Gets saved by Kylo Ren who she kisses for no reason other than fan service? I mean Ben Solo, and ends up killing Palpatine anyway. Nice. Rey and Kylo force pulling enemy cruisers to the ground? Yoda in his 900 years has nothing on these two. Then there’s the knife. Who created it and where did it come from? Lol. Palpatine’s army. An entire ship fleet equipped with new portable Death Star cannons with planet destroying capabilities. The Chewy death fake out. Leia’s death. RIP Carrie Fisher. I honestly cared more CP-3-0 and Chewy than I did anyone else in this movie. Rey Skywalker….Wow.

    RIP Star Wars.
