The Gamecube was the first console I ever had, and I can’t believe how much I still enjoy this little box with tiny little disks. I could remember playing a few Spongebob games when I was five and not knowing how to do anything until my dad showed me how to it right. I can still remember playing hours of SSBM and playing Mario Kart on friends’ Gamecubes. And although I have great nostalgic memories of those games, a year ago I found a new love for the system when I played Twilight Princess and both Metroid Prime games for the first time. To this day, I haven’t found a system quite so long-lasting as the Gamecube.
My favorite console of all time. If I had to rank my top 25 games of all time, I bet at least 10 of them are Gamecube games. Smash Melee, Metroid Prime 1 and 2, Wind Waker, Resident Evil 4, and the list goes on.
