The Promised Neverland manga has come to an end.
It ended on a pretty good note, though maybe a bit rushed.
Overall, it’s a story I’ve enjoyed. It had some good conflicts, and I’m glad it didn’t get bogged down in those conflicts, taking months or even years to get through them.
So, a bit sad to see it end, but mostly glad it ended well.
I found it tepid. Very underwhelming, frankly.
Another ten pages with another time skip to show off how the children fully became part of the human world would have made it somewhat better. The “we’re all together again and happy” kind of closure is very lazy.
Good ending. After everything that happened they deserved a happy ending.
I would have liked to see more of their lives after reaching the human world, too. One thing that would have been nice would be to see them older, with children of their own, and knowing that those children weren’t being raised to be food like they had been.
