Already aware we have a video game soundtrack thread, but after much deliberation I’ve decided that Sonic music warrants its own thread at this stage. A collection of just about every soundtrack in the franchise whether it’s from the official games, fan made remixes or other media, this is the place for it.
No better way to start off than were it all began:
The first Sonic game I ever played, and still one of the greatest:
Hill Top Zone
Mystic Cave Zone – Criminal that this hasn’t been remade or remixed yet.
Oil Ocean Zone – aka Captain Planet-Is-Having-A-Seizure Zone.
Metropolis Zone – aka jesus christ there’s a third act are you fucking kidding me zone.
Playing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 multiplayer was a great way to make sure no-one plays games with you ever again.
Me: *Zipping from point A to point B as Sonic*
My friends, siblings and other relatives: *Plays as Tails and then gets lost*
Emerald Hill (2P)
Mystic Cave (2P)
Casino Night (2P)

Sonic 2 HD is one of the finest fan games and it’ll be a joy to play once it’s finished.
Emerald Hill Zone Act 2 (HD)
Chemical Plant Zone Act 1 (HD)
Chemical Plant Zone Act 2 (HD)
Preview of an update that will feature Aquatic Ruin:
Tbh I’d love to know the thought process was to air such tonally different shows back-to-back. It was like they both got pitched at the same time and executives said “screw it” and got both produced in order to capitalize on the success of the franchise at that time.
