Grand Metropolis
Power Plant
VS Team Battle – In which two of the four teams will fight each other for absolutely no reason at all.
Amy: “Sonic! This time we’re gonna get married!”
Sonic: “Uhh… No.”
Amy: *Beats the shit out of him*
Just like in real life!
Casino Park
Bingo Highway
Boss: Robot Carnival/Robot Storm
Eggman: “Don’t get too excited, boys! Those were the easy ones!”
Amy: “Boys?!” o_O
Cream: “Boys?!” o_O
Big: “Boys!” O.O
Rail Canyon – Completely metal. One of my favorites in the whole series.
Bullet Station
Boss: Egg Albatross
Hang Castle – Legend has it Michael Jackson’s ghost might sometimes haunt Sonic games.
Mystic Mansion
We Can – Team Sonic theme (play this at your next party so your friends will never talk to you again lmao)
This Machine – Team Dark theme (nearly twenty years old and this is still unironically dope).
Follow Me – Team Rose theme (“through the stratosphere” lol these lyrics)
Team Chaotix – This isn’t my jam, or your jam. It’s everyone’s jam.
Special Zone: Bonus Challenge
Special Zone: Emerald Challenge
The first and only 3D game to have Special stages to get the Chaos Emeralds. I’m actually sort of thankful for that because these were hell.
Final Boss: Metal Madness (Neo Metal Sonic)
I loved this song as a teen. Now I’m older I realize these lyrics perfectly represent Sonic and Metal’s rivalry against one another.
Dialing back on the speed factor a bit, Sonic Advance 3 found more of a balance between that and the classic platforming with an added twist of tag-team action: Choosing any pair of two (out of five) characters to navigate through the game’s challenges was a Sonic fan’s dream come true. Be it the classic Sonic & Tails, Sonic & Knuckles or even Tails & Knuckles!
Sunset Hill (Act I)
Sunset Hill (Act II)
Sunset Hill (Act III)
Ah, remixing Green Hill before it became a bit of a tired trope. This 32-bit rearrangement is a piece of aural heaven.
Good times.
