Unique among the game’s soundtrack, Rouge’s music is snappy jazz mixed in with a bit of J-pop, exuding with her feminine charm.

When I learned that the Dreamcast would be SEGA’s last console, I was quite sad and wondered about the future of the Sonic series, figuring SA2 might be Sonic’s last game. Over a half a year later, imagine my surprise when I learned not only a new game was on the way but on a Nintendo platform. In the 90’s that would’ve been unthinkable.
It was the beginning of a new era for Sonic, opening up the franchise to a wider audience to those who missed out on SEGA’s golden years and a new generation of younger fans.
