What are all your thoughts on one of the greatest characters in Star Wars! Personally I thought she was over the top with her sassy attitude towards everyone in the first two season but in the later season she was more mature and wise! Her journey as Padawan of Anakin and Jedi was great!
Ashoka is probably in my top 5 favorite characters in all of Star Wars.
Ahsoka’s also one of my favorite Star Wars characters. Also really love The Clone Wars
I wasn’t the biggest fan of her when the series started, but her character turned into one of my favorite characters of all time. Looking back at her character growth as a whole, it was done beautifully, and I’m glad to have her as part of the Star Wars universe
I love her.
Ah yes, Ahsoka Tano. One of the greatest redemption stories in all of Star Wars. How many characters make such a bad first impression, but ultimately turn things around to become one of the most beloved characters in the entire franchise? Not many as far as I’m concerned. What else is there to say that hasn’t been said a million times before by countless Star Wars fans?
Asshoka is the worst form of retcon.
TCW03 & the books written before the revenge of the sith all indicate that Anakin only passed the trials in the waning months of the war. Then Cowgirl Dave and TCW08 show up and Anakins a full knight in the first months of the war and has a learner.
He never became a Jedi before he became Darth Vader. You have to be a jedi to have a padawan.. So someone explain to me why he has one in the show? Was it to get more female representation and more females into Star Wars? Why would they want that? $$$$ .. Now I never cared that much because its a cartoon.. But just saying. I dont count it as canon.
He did become a Jedi. A Jedi just means that you are no longer a Padawan. If you watch Star Wars: Clone Wars it shows that he did. Now that show is not actual canon, but you can assume something similar happened before The Clone Wars show began. What Anakin did not get was the rank of Jedi Master. George Lucas thought it would be good for the character to have a Padawan to help Anakin’s story arc, both in making Anakin more likable as well as helping show his fall to the Dark Side with her eventual death. Though that didn’t end up happening in the show, that was George’s intentions with her. Was it for female representation? Maybe, but it didn’t feel like that in the show. So whether it was or not, it was done right which is exactly what the FM wants.
Like I said he passed the trials in the waning months of the war based on the clone wars 03 show & the books written then. It was not normal for a freshly minted jedi to take on a Padawan. What happened with Obiwan at the end of EP1 was an outlier not the norm. It makes no sense for the entirety of TCW08 to fit into the; call it, half a year between the end of TCW03 and Ep3.
The entire premise of the second show is a retcon. Not a particularly good one either.
I was actually responding to the Anonymous person above saying Anakin was never a Jedi, but I don’t think it’s that much of a stress for Anakin to be an outlier too. They already broke one of their own rules to let him be a Padawan in the first place. Doesn’t seem like much of a stretch for me to give him a Padawan to learn the lesson of letting go of people close to you.
