Too many disagreements for me to like this post.
He is, anyone see shattered Glass, great movie, great performance
I enjoyed the prequals, but I was a kid when I seen them which was the target audience from what I read. I especially enjoyed the final episode when Anakin murdered all those children. Savage.
Pademe did not have a good casting actress, because Jake Lloyd (Anakin) looked like a prettier woman than her. That felt awkward to me.
Cool, i’ll watch it this weekend
To be fair, that’s just proof George was just making up the story as he went along.
He settled on Leia and Han in regards to the Luke-Leia-Han triangle, and couldn’t think of a better way to convince audiences on this other than “Luke and Leia are siblings, lol.”
Imagine if there had been online shipping fandoms back then. The salt mines would’ve been enormous.
I never got a sense of Luke ans Leia crushing on eachother, not even in Empire, when she kissed Luke it was just to make Han jealous
Just imaging ANH with this type of special efects/choreography.
Now if the Special Editions had THAT included!
As simple as it was, i still love the original battle, but this is a very cool alternate version
If people feared Darth Vader from what we had in the original films, just look at how much more terrifying Vader would have been with this alternative version.
Hell no, the tempo and flow of the battle was so awful my grandma could’ve kicked their ass. After that fight I couldn’t take the danger of Darth Vader seriously
when she kissed Luke it was just to make Han jealous
That’s true, but Luke in a New Hope was clearly smitten with her, and while Leia’s own feelings are little more ambiguous, she showed more appreciation towards Luke’s company than Han’s.
And then there are the deleted scenes/scripts in Empire you may not know about.
George, what are you doing?! No, George! STOP! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I think Luke being smitten with Leis in A New Hope has more to do with him being a teenager/youg adult then having an actual crush
Even before finding out they’re twins, they have a best friend relationship
And after watching that deleted scene, i get why Luke was so happy after Leia’s kiss, that was his first kiss 😹 I can only imagine what was going thru his head when Obi-Wan told him they’re brother and sister…
That is why each new film from the original, things always were stepped up a notch.
ANH had our first lightsaber battle – between an old man and his older former master.
To RotJ we had a battle between an older sith lord and a jedi yet to come into his prime.
Then to PM, where we had a lightsaber dual between force users where for the first time we knew one side or the had to be killed.
Onwards to RotS, where we had two at the height of their powers in the force.
So if in ANH they had upped the combat between Vader and Kenobi, just imagine how that would have effected the films after them, and how truly fearsome Vader could have been.
In ESB, where it was revealed Vader himself had a master, just think how much more we would have feared the Emperor if even the Big Badass Vader of the reimagined scene still knelt down before him.
You also forgot Fennec Shand. She’s a female asian, and she had an antagonistic role.
It was really lame that they killed her in one episode. She seemed interesting, imo.
I’m going to do my bullet point style rather than explain as I have a number of thoughts and it will be easier that way.
– I like Jar Jar
– I like The Phantom Menace
– I don’t believe that ESB is any better or worse than the other two movies.
– I hated most of Rogue One.
– only good new characters Donnie Yen
and the droid.
– Plot was terrible
– Hayden Christensen is good in parts of the Prequels
– I like the original Ewok end music from ROTJ over the new music.
I could probably go on but I’m supposed to be working right now….
