I honestly loved Star Fox Assault; it respected what came before while still doing its own thing. The story could get kinda dark, but it retained the cheesy but endearing banter between the cast. I’d say these were the definitive versions of the characters and it’s shame it never got a proper follow-up (Command doesn’t count. It doesn’t exist).

^ The last two levels were among the best of the whole series, but that grind towards the very end while avoiding Eggman’s laser cannons could be frustrating. The slightest mistake is punished with instant death.
What I’m Made Of (Final boss theme) – This song brings out my 15 year old self again, (because all men are still boys at heart).
