In socialist and communist countries there is only positive propaganda but 93% of the media coverage about Trump is negative.

But oppressive? Nah. Not in the least.

October 2, 2020 at 6:06 am #192963lol…. I often have trouble with sarcasm. America by and large is not oppressive at all. I just do not like how many people we have in jails and prisons. It really is about 1/3 of the entire world’s prisoners when you look at the numbers. Often it is for petty things too. The MSM just makes it seem like every crime case is the worst thing imaginable, when in reality many cases are not at all likeit.

I doubt the myth that the prison population in the United States is 1/3 of the world’s prison population. The justice system in the US is also probably less corrupt than it is in most countries, but there are too many lawyers and too many laws and loopholes created to benefit the legal profession and the private prisons. For this reason people get screwed, but in countries where being a lawyer or a judge doesn’t pay well they are easily bribed so there’s less corruption in the US than in such countries. People are shit all over the world and only the system used makes a marginal difference, but the fundamental problem is greedy human nature that is inescapable regardless of the country or the system in place and that will never change. Just consider yourself lucky as long as you’re not in too much shit and live for the moment.

October 2, 2020 at 6:41 am #192969I work in the legal system. It is very corrupt. Judges, DAs, Prosecutors, Police, Investigators — are corrupt to the core. Then, they truly do not know what sentencing a person really does to a person. The legal system destroys millions of lives every year in America. If you ever wanted to know why so many people follow the insanity of groups like “Antifa” it is because groups like Antifa realize there this a tremendous amount of people screwed over by the legal system. This is where they pull their foot soldiers from. This is how they build their army.
But, there are going to be a lot of “good” people finding out when they die that they are not “good” people at all. The irony is half the DAs and prosecutors in America are on drugs and daily they sentence people to the hell of prison and being a felon for the very same drugs.
