Has anyone seen this trailer? I link it below. The cast looks pretty good. They have some good folks and it’s Tim Burton. But the plot seems stupid to me. The entire thing for the Munsters and the Addams Family is they are wacky and weird. Their comedy comes from their intersection with the “normal” world. But the trailer shows Wednesday dealing with other similar type characters. Some more wacky then the Addams family. That is basically the antithesis of the entire plot of the original.
Maybe it’s me but it seems silly at this point.
This lady did it much better I think and it was just a YouTube series.
October 14, 2022 at 8:50 am #283894I found that second trailer to be a big improvement over the first one, and it actually got me interested in this show. (which I can’t watch as I refuse to do paid-subscription services to view).
October 15, 2022 at 5:28 am #283970I don’t know man I cannot see this working. The whole schtick is showing how their oddness matched up with the normal world. This looks more like a horror story or something intentionally creepy. That’s not what the Addams Family was. Now different does not mean bad but when you go that far off the original plot I think it will be tough to make it work.
