My most recently bought and played game was Dark Souls Remastered (for PS4, but it’s also on the Switch). Although I don’t think it’s fair to call it a “remaster” since the visuals are largely unchanged (except for the more stable framerate) and many other issues from the original version remain. It really should’ve been called the Game of the Year edition since that’s what Remastered really is, all the stuff from the Prepare to Die release patched into it and not much else. Good game for the most part. Simple to understand yet difficult to master with an interesting game world to back it up. I don’t think it’s aged as well as its most ardent fans say it does, but I respect it for what it is and what it brought to the table.
On sale on Amazon.de, I feel like I will spend many hours on some of these games, great for when I want to play something while watching a G&G or EVS stream and have no game to grind in.
Also since I’m a victim fo the joy con drift I decided to get a new set, since I’m very satisfied with the Echtpower Pro Pad I bought last year and am still using I bought this Echtpower Joy Con. All it’s missing is the NFC chip and HD Rumble, both things I can do without and I can always switch to my old Joycons if necessary.
I chose a different color scheme though, sadly no grey or black ones available.

Just recently bought Dragon Quest XI on the Switch. I was looking for more of an old school JRPG, and this one checks all of the right boxes so far. It’s also quite a nice port onto the Switch, as the devs did a nice job keeping in plenty of detail and still maintaining a stable frame rate.
I bought Baldur’s Gate 3 two weeks ago. It has an amazing foundation but it is so buggy and only a fraction of the content is unlocked at the moment due to it being in early access. It will be amazing when it’s finished. I wouldn’t get it until there was more content to justify the full $60 price. Apparently Marc did a review of the game on the G+G youtube but I like many, many, many others, haven’t seen it.
Games that I haven’t bought recently? Cyberpunk 2077, because I refuse to preorder until a day or two before release because we all keep getting burned.
I bought Yakuza 7 for Steam in Fanatical’s flash deal.
Also from Fanatical from the 2 Mystery Keys I always add and for spinning a wheel you can do and win things if you at least spend 5 bucks

Possibly the only new physical game I buy this month
I had a great Black Friday and Cyber Week for games. Got almost everything I wanted, and what I did not get has circumstances.
Got this weeks before when the price dropped under $30. I now have 1-3, and I haven’t started any of them yet. Didn’t get 4 for the holidays, because since I haven’t even started the others, I can damn well wait for it to drop under $30 too.
After some magic and trickery…got this for $9.80! I was patient and I got it for a great deal! Can’t wait to go back to Midgard after all these years.
I held off getting this for years. Was always tempted, but never pulled the trigger. Well, caught it at literally the last hour on the PS Store Black Friday Sale for $15.99! Yeah it was digital, but half the price of the physical copy, and I don’t care because I’m really trying not to sell back games anymore, anyways. I want to actually restore a library on my shelf.
Got this for $3 more than I could have a couple days prior, but still grabbed it for less than the original price when I began circling it.
Steam sale…got all the DLC I didn’t have for half their prices. Add in me going mod crazy (love the Stellaris and CKIII modders), and I’ve been down the Stellaris rabbit hole for…almost 2 weeks now?
In the end, I left Trails of Cold Steel 4 and Ghost of Tsushima on the shelf this time around. As far as GoT goes, while I do want it, I’m not in the mood for that style of game right now, so I can wait til it goes down to $30 or less.
4th time is the charm to get this posted….
