Geeks + Gamers › Forums › Entertainment › Movies › Whats your dream movie cross-over?
with the creator of pacific rim mentioning he’d like to do a cross-over with the monsterverse it got me thinking of other crazy cross-overs id like to see. so thats what this thread is for.
for me one that i want but know would never ever happen is fast and furious/ transformers (Michael bays version) i think it would be an insanely fun movie and the stunts and effects would be crazy, another cross-over i want is marvel vs dc which i think is actually inevitable once DC gets their shit together.
also sorry for being inactive lately guys im super busy with college.
Well if we are going on wishfull thinking cross-overs:
True Blood x Underworld
Babylon5 vs Stargate…. both had “Ancients” so its there for the making and would not take much of a time jump 2362 to make it all work out.
Probably Terminator and Star Wars, or maybe, Avengers included in the mix. After Ultron, it’s kind of already been done. What’s nuts is, the more you think about it, the more you realize Disney has a monopoly. If one suggests Star Wars and Avengers, it’s totally owned by them. This is why I am so into comicsgate and why I have become underground and anti-corporate. I really want to see low budget creative cinema, at this point. When all of life is a contest between 2 or 3 companies, it’s just not very interesting. One good one would be Dune vs Star Wars. Also, when you ponder the last 50 years of cinema, what really stood out? Not that much. For me, the overall best cinematic experience I ever had was Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit. Those movies would come out every winter, so every December, a friend would actually call me and invite me to see it, so I got to see it with friends and the movies delivered. One of the only times that was ever the case in my entire life.
We had Aliens vs. Predators.
But in the comics we also had:
Aliens vs. Terminators.
Predators vs. Terminators.
Aliens vs. Predators vs. Terminators.
(And no, don’t do an Aliens nor Predators vs. Batman or Superman or Archie)
a terminator/ star wars crossover would be pretty crazy
also interesting points about the monopoly on the comic/ film industry, i actually had an interest in starting my own studio for film making, animation and comics, but all that went on hold a few years ago

Don’t you mess with Dune, lol.
Honestly I am very hopeful for Dune 2020 errrr 2021 maybe. Honestly I thought about it last night before I replied but cannot think of anything that’s out there that could be crossed in to the Dune verse it is so unique and so far beyond anything in scifi.
Yup still can’t picture anything to cross-over with it. Be like crossing LOTR with GOT one is a classic with great stories, plots and characters, the other is never going to be finished and if it is without an ending change will just be horrible as its clear the author just wants to subvert expectations.
You guys come up with great topics and things to think about, as well as arguments for your cases. As for Dune, I just started the Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson books. The critics did not like them much, but one person said he thought they were even better, which I thought would be impossible for Brian to be better than Frank. So far, I’m enjoying the House Atreides novel.
As for Transformers, anything crossing over with Ready Player One would be cool. Like if Geeks and Gamers put on VR headsets and could pilot Transformers, or Transhumans like Alita Battle Angel, or new life forms like Avatar, so ReadyPlayerOne and Avater might be one.
@Comicsgate
Screw the critics. take the Dune books and enjoy them. Luckily when I was growing up we did not have “critics” all over the place and anyone able to be one. Word of mouth and our own mind was the critic. Man I dont know if I would have picked up Dune, Narnia, Dragon Riders of Pern and many others if I had all these people today saying they didnt like them.
Here is probably one of the Best examples “Jaws” if you have not read the book it is very different than the Movie, so much so I had a friend who’s favorite character almost all his life was Matt Hooper until he read the book. He still gets pissed when i tease him about it.
‘The Breakfast Club’ crossing over with Disney’s ‘Recess’ would be cool. They’d probably have to age up the Recess gang though.
‘Top Gun’ and ‘Dastardly and Muttley’ would be funny.
Oh and whilst we’re still on ‘Top Gun’, ‘Top Gun’ and ‘Star Wars’.
This 🤩
and this 😁
and this 🥳
I forgot to mention a few others😅:
I’ve been wanting a ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ and Harry Potter crossover for the last 20 years.
I’m surprised that there’s not been a Scooby-Doo and Ghostbusters crossover yet.
How about Wacky Races with Fast and the Furious? That would liven the FF franchise that’s for sure😂
Another one I forgot to mention…’Peaky Blinders’ and ‘Gotham By Gaslight’ since half the main cast are on Batman related films/TV😂. Although it’d have to be set in the 1920’s and not Victorian times.
@dragon lady scooby doo and ghostbusters is a good one lol,
thats why i made this thread i knew you guys would come up with stuff i never woulda thought off
