ON the insistences of someone…
I just heard another banger rap song called Target Practice. The only artists on this song I’m familiar with is Rittz and Krizz Kaliko because they used to be signed to Tech N9ne’s label Strange Music and I’m a huge Tech N9ne and Rittz fan. I’m not very familiar with the other artists on this song. But this song and video is fucking flames. Check it out.
Also I got another one to share. The man Tech just dropped a new song. It’s like a horror theme type of song. But hey, it’s Tech. He’s always doing different types of shit. But this is fire too.
I forgot how to correctly post music videos….

Just click the “Share” on Youtube and copy and paste that link.
Sometimes it just doesn’t work on here frankly. This site needs some better coding.
saw that movie M3gan. There is a scene where the doll is playing a piano in the middle of the night. There is no vocal, so it is a piano rendition. It was clever in that “Toy Soldiers” could have the interpretation of a killer doll. The song hit me hard only because I have not heard it in many decades. I am skeptical of the interpretation below, but didn’t realize what a piece of art this song was, as it could be about lost innocence with a boy, drug addiction, a killer doll. It just fits in any number of different ways.
Anyway…
When you hear temptation call
It’s your heart that takes
Takes the fall
(Won’t you come out and play with me?)
Toy Soldiers is a song with a hidden secret, which would be deciphered years later. The song is a delicate ballad that included a striking chorus that included the voices of several of Martika’s friends such as Stacy Ferguson (nowadays known as Fergie), Rahsaan Patterson, Renee Sands (who provided the voice of Princess Fiona in the film Shreck ), Devyn Puett and Jennifer Love Hewitt.
All these young people belonged to the famous Disney Channel show. Until then, the label’s managers only understood that the song was a simple ballad about a girl who suffered for the love of a disinterested man, a kind of “rebel boy”. that he only made her suffer and that he thought he was a gallant of gallants. But as the months went by, before being released as a single, the pot was uncovered. It is that “Toy Soldiers” was not an innocent and simple love ballad, but rather a song that spoke about the problems of drug abuse.
In those days, Martika pointed out in various media outlets that this song was written after knowing that one of his friends had serious health problems stemming from a strong cocaine addiction. He also explained that his repudiation of drugs was due to the fact that they control the human being in the same way that children control their toys, the song was released as a single on January 27, 1989 promoting his successful debut album that remained as one of the most popular musical works of the late 80’s.
New hard rock cover. Love it.
