Why are sports all of a sudden woke? One word, Nike

I have boycotted Nike for over ten years. New Balance makes an excellent product and seems to be their only real competition. It is downright scary how much better Nike is than almost every other shoe company. Bill Bowerman really did make a superior product. Supposedly, he copied some shoe tech from Aesics, but him and Phil Knight went much, much further. This is something that makes me laugh about the word “colonizer.” I despise Nike but Nike investment in running made champs out of many third world runners and I do not think they would have ever made it without western investment.
