I’m not all that good with obituaries, so I’ll keep it fairly brief. I’d only just found out about this that actor William Hurt (Lost In Space; A.I: Artificial Intelligence; The Village; A History Of Violence; The Incredible Hulk; Captain America: Civil War; Avengers: Infinity War; Avengers: Endgame; Black Widow) has passed away at the age of 71. It turns out that he’d been previously diagnosed in 2018 with prostate cancer, something I nothing about. This news kind of came out of nowhere, so I was certainly pretty shocked to about it. I think the first movie that I remember seeing him was in the aforementioned Lost In Space, but I mostly remember his role as Thunderbolt Ross in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I always though he was a fairly good actor, especially as Ross, no disrespect to Sam Elliot who also played the same character in 2003’s Hulk. Still, Hurt’s passing shocked me like Chadwick Boseman’s because no one never saw it coming.
All the same, my thoughts are with his family and friends. I have nothing else to say other than Rest In Peace and Godspeed.
