Superman 2, donner cut. I also think 3 is pretty underrated, if not only for Pryor’s star showing and awesome evil/drunk superman. Little known fact, when signing up to this site I very nearly chose drunken superman as my pic ……

Superman: The Movie
It is the closest adaption to the comic books.
Superman II is neck-n-neck with it.
The rest sadly had poor villains and bad story telling.

I absolutely just love BOTH Superman 1 & 2. Both are really great films and are childhood classics. Christopher Reeve is #1 for me in terms of Superman actors in Live Action. Never saw The Richard Donner Cut tbh, but will be looking forward to watching it someday soon. “Superman 3” was okay, it’s not great or terrible, but definitely not my favorite Superman film with Christopher Reeve. Never seen “Superman 4: The Quest For Peace”, but have been told many times how bad the film really is, which made me have no intention of watching it, just like how I have no intention of watching “The Star Wars Holiday Special”, also really bad.
