The Hollywood Reporter exclusively reports that Tony Gilroy has stopped all work on Andor. He stopped writing before the WGA writer’s strike but now has ceased all producing and other types of work. Check out his statement to THR here:
“I discontinued all writing and writing-related work on Andor prior to midnight, May 1. After being briefed on the Saturday showrunner meeting, I informed Chris Keyser at the WGA on Sunday morning that I would also be ceasing all non-writing producing functions.”
Evidently, other members of the WGA called Gilroy out on social media for performing non-writing duties, prompting this response. Good for him, and I hope the parties come to an agreement soon.
