The Writers Guild of America and AMPTP are set to resume talks on Wednesday after a month of silence. The WGA has been striking for 140 days now. Check out the Union’s statement here:
“The WGA and AMPTP now have a confirmed schedule to bargain this week, starting on Wednesday. You might not hear from us in the coming days while we are negotiating, but know that our focus is getting a fair deal for writers as soon as possible. We’ll reach out again when there is something of significance to report.”
The two parties remain unable to agree on AI use, staffing levels in writers’ rooms, and streaming residuals. The AMPTP claims that the Union called them first, but the WGA didn’t state how negotiations were reopened.
