Jeremy from Geeks and Gamers (DDayCobra) Steeps Low For New Grift

We all have our favorite YouTube (or Rumble, etc.) personalities who we watch on livestreams. In fact, there are so many internet characters to choose from; it does make one picky about who they decide to watch. A lot of political channels, a lot of movie and television channels, pop culture, pop culture drama, plus many, many more – and my favorite, YouTube creator drama. Most of these characters have ditched their nine-to-fives and are now 100% online streamers. They have dedicated themselves to their internet success and to the entertainment of their fans. (Hail the 199)

Which brings life to what we call the grift, or how one makes money from another.

“Hey, what’s up, Geeks + Gamers?! It’s Jeremy, coming to you with another video.” Jeremy (DdayCobra) released this five-minute video where he predicts X-Men ’97 will be another woke disaster that isn’t worth watching. It starts off like many of his other videos, but it’s almost like Jeremy knew when filming this one that he would be making fun of it in the future. His voice is higher than normal, it sounds nasally, and there’s just something there that has a hint of extraordinary happiness in it, like he was just invited to a drag show. That goes away pretty quickly, though, as he continues to predict what any sane person today would most likely predict. “Simply put – fuck this show!”

Two months after predicting the ever lasting wokeness of X-Men ’97, he releases his next prediction; the end of his career.

“X-Men ’97 has completely destroyed Jeremy from Geeks + Gamers. It’s over! It’s done. It was a good run, but it’s time to pack it up. It’s over! Um, I, I wanted to keep going, but this show has completely exposed me as the grifter… that I always have been.” He then continues his descent into his griftception. It really is sad, but he has finally done it. His grift has reached its lowest point, ever. And rightly so, he’s not afraid to grift off of that grift. His grift has become a grift inside a grift inside a griftstream.

“This is truly the lowest form of content.”

What kind of YouTuber reacts to his own content? This isn’t the first occasion on which Jeremy has revealed the levels of his grifting.

Jeremy shows us pretty quickly that he’s not proud of his grifting but is willing to engage in it if he must. He even points out that he doesn’t plan on hiding his intentions. “…so many people think I’m trying to hide from this. I’m not.” 

“I truly have no shame.”

Turns out Jeremy’s first prediction that X-Men ’97 would be a typical wokefest was incorrect. Basically, this new video of his, where he reaches the lowest depths of his griftness, is Jeremy admitting he was wrong for about ten minutes. It’s pretty great. He tries to play it off like it’s part of his grift, but come on, buddy. Come on, buddy.

Jeremy talking about touching his face and the insecurity that follows, then the making fun of it, is definitely my favorite, though. Did he get that grift from Tim Pool? Hmm, very curious indeed. Tim Pool is always touching or adjusting his beanie or his shirt – he’s always fidgeting with how he looks. Take my word for it, please; once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

I finally got caught up with X-MEN 97 & I gotta admit I was wrong, I thought Disney would somehow ruin this but this show is easily the best thing they’ve done since Endgame.

I think the only option we have, as a community, as The 199, we must, we have to cancel Jeremy. These levels of grifting are unacceptable. People aren’t ready for griftceptions and griftstreams. I mean, you can only break the internet so many times.
